Tickd helps maths teachers mark handwritten exam papers. This page says, in plain words, what we collect, why, who handles it, and when it is deleted.

What we collect

Student names

You choose the name area on the scans. Your browser blacks it out before anything is uploaded, on every page unless you choose otherwise. Please check the preview: if a student writes their name somewhere else, it is uploaded with the page. Students appear in Tickd as numbers (Student 01, Student 02) in scan order.

Why

Only to mark your papers, show you the results, and run your account. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.

Who handles it

Who can see your exams

Only your account. Each teacher’s exams are kept apart by rules in the database. The person who runs Tickd can reach stored data to fix a problem or when the law requires it, and does not look at your exams otherwise.

How long we keep it

Cookies

Only the cookie that keeps you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies, and no analytics.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Use the contact form and say what you need.

Your school

Before uploading, you confirm that your school allows you to upload this student work. Your school decides what students and parents are told.
